History
happy2help.co.nz was initially developed by Netrix for the Canterbury Primary Pandemic Group to help manage the Swine Flu pandemic.
The Group recognised that communities that are organised and prepared come through a pandemic in the best shape. Volunteers are an important part of this and can help in many ways, ranging from administration jobs to delivering meals and medicines and providing care in the home.
Technologies
happy2help.co.nz has been designed by a group of business and technical professionals to be secure, robust and extensible.
The website is built and runs on the latest Microsoft products. These include Windows Server, IIS, C#, ASP.NET and SQL Server. These industrial strength products and tools are widely used by some of the largest organisations in the world.
